Previous Entry - Classic RPG #1 - Task 5 - Revised: https://www.gamedev.net/blog/1376/entry-2255120-classic-rpg-1-task-5-revised/

I've finished programming the attack functions in the Player and Enemy class! The video below just shows movement, enemy movement, turn based movement, and of course basic melee attacking. I also describe how camping works in the game.

Thanks for watching! I'm looking at uploading another video within a few weeks. I will have the loot system working soon!

Nice video! I appreciate when people take their time to narrate their video instead of just put some generic bass heavy music in the background. Do you plan on having any mouse input for moving, attacking.. etc.?

Good work!

Out of curiosity, what do you use to capture the video?

Thanks for the comments!

O-san: I will keep everything keyboard based as it's a Classic RPG based off a DOS RPG I played many moons ago.

Endurion: I use Camtasia Studio to record and edit my videos! Great piece of software.

Glad to see the new movie out; the game is coming along nicely!

Any plans for a demo?

Pretty soon! :) Once I've completed a few more functions then the Engine is pretty much complete, other than adding spells. Then all I need to do is add content.

I'm looking forward to finishing this game as I have another project in the works!
