I''m a graduate from the Rochester Institute of Technology. I have been using Monster.com and HotJobs.com, but each time I submit my resume, I hardly ever get a response in return. I think too many people are applying for jobs through these sites so my resume is ignored. Anyone have any advice?? I need to start paying the bills by acquiring a real job, and not by working at Wendy''s. ~bluemace

Your best bets are to start with posting a resume on Gamasutra.com, and keep an eye on .plan files and announcements (http://finger.planetquake.com and http://www.bluesnews.com are both good sources.)

With such short dev cycles, most game development houses I know of check Gamasutra at the same time as they announce job openings through one of the above outlets.

Finally, don''t hesitate to send your resume off to companies through contacts on their job pages. For example, Microsoft Game Studios posts all of their positions at http://www.microsoft.com/jobs, but you can submit a resume even if there are no current openings.
