does anybody know of any good, free, networking libraries for the Windows platform? or do you think I would be better off writing my own wrapper with DirectPlay or Winsock or something? Thanks, Julio

What functionality do you need that Winsock and DirectPlay don''t provide. If you don''t want anything more than connecting and sending/receiving data, Winsock and DirectPlay should be sufficient for your needs.

Otherwise, if you need voice transmission, I believe that Roger Wilco performs that. For standard internet protocols, FTP, etc. You can use the Wininet libraries.
