Does anyone have any info or advise about putting a game up on the web? I mean BUSINESS and FINANCIAL info. Instead of programming on a PC and then burning it to a CD-Rom, my company is thinking of programming in Flash and running it on a website. People could try for free but would have to pay to play the whole thing.
Anyone heard of anything like this? Anyone know how much it might cost to produce a 2D interactive adventure on-line? Anyone think this web model idea can work?

This is the currently business model that I am working on. So far the web-based game industry works with licensing. You rent your game to web sites for them to use.
Honestly I do not have much financial and business information. So far most licenses range between $200-$1000/month

I sadly don''t have any information that you are looking for because I, myself have an interest in the same sort of thing. With fast internet access becoming more and more the norm it is, in my opinion, something worth looking into. I know this isn''t exactly the same thing but I noticed over at AOL(use their cheap account when/if something is wrong with my cable modem) that they charge 1 to 1.50 per hour...now I know this isn''t exactly the same thing but can you imagine if only 1 percent of AOL spent an hour online a day...or even a month..thats a nice chunck of change
