How do I get the IP of an email server through some sort of programmable thing? I need to do this for my server thingy that I''m writing. jhky said that I need to do some sort of special request for a mail server, but how do I do that? She also said that sites like hotmail.com direct you to multiple IP''s.

AHHH, You need to get the MX record for a domain? I don't think there's a winsock option to do that, you're gonna have to write your own DNS client. It's really pretty easy to write a minimal DNS client, and a fun project too, it's a simple protocol.
