I''d say C++ is a good choice.

Which language you use is totally up to your personal opinion. The advantage of C\C++ is that it''s fast, and one of the easiest languages to get help for. In the end, you should go with what you are most comfortable with.
Do you actually know how to program? from the sounds of your question I think you better start learning. If you knew how to program in C++ you would know the answer to that question.

You should use whatever language you feel most comfortable with.

I use C/C++, I get more proficient at it every day. However I knew several languages before I started on C/C++ which gave me a standing ground even though I didn''t understand the syntax.
