i never tried dplay, and i never will.
i went through the trouble of learning all that winsock crap, so i might as well use it.
besides, i don''t trust microsoft.

i was referring to Null and Void''s mention of them not releasing their protocol.
obviously, you have to use SOMETHING to communicate when programming in windows, and i would prefer to do it myself rather than use something they won''t tell me how it works.
