If a client server app is written with Directx 8 will it be backward compatible with Directx 7? I wouldn''t think so BUT I want to be sure. Thanx, Vgb

DirectX is backward compatible, but it doesn''t mean what you seem to think it means. It means that if you have a DirectX 7 app, it''ll run fine with DirectX 8+ installed.
