It seems my relationship with Direct Audio has worn thin, our relationship just isn't going anywhere. When I commute to different countries, you are incompatible with them. You give me runtime errors, I try to ignore them but they hurt my feelings.

The only question at hand is which of the two I should choose. Whilst FMOD has a voluptuous figure and a load of naughty file types, and openAL supports MIDI which I like, is well liked by other. Oh I can't choose, I want both!
